Do you find yourself rushing through your week, crashing at the end of the day, not sleeping enough only to get up and start all over again?
Let’s face it – life can be demanding.
Work, relationships, finding new creative places to hide your chocolate stash, child wrangling, folding all the laundry only for it to reappear as if by magic but dirty again, solving the problems of the world, deciphering your tweens' grunts, gathering supplies to increase the family chances of survival, dragging your body for a walk when all it really wants is netflix and wine, navigating the traffic every day, expanding your brain and all the other commitments we believe we absolutely have to fit into our already overflowing lives... it all demands time and energy.
Your body takes the hit, tension and stress hormones build up and aches and pains, fatigue, irritability and illness develop over time.
TRE (Stress, Tension and Trauma Release Exercises) is a safe, natural way for people with busy lives to release tension, relax more and improve health and wellbeing.
Join a TRE Taster Group and learn TRE, a simple but effective practice that will help you release stress and tension so you feel relaxed, grounded and more resilient to life's challenges.
Saturday 25 May 2019 10:00am - 12:00pm OR 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Kahikatea Room Kawai Purapura 14 Mills Road, Albany, Auckland
TRE uses gentle exercises to stretch and fatigue various muscles. This activates a natural muscle tremor (shaking) response in your body. The shaking releases the tension that builds up in our bodies because of every day stressors or challenging life events.
All mammals have access to this natural protective response to let go of the pent up tension that accumulates in the body when we face threatening situations.
TRE is suitable for all body types and can be easily adapted for any age, fitness level or mobility challenge.
